Impact
The Edward St. John Student Center at McDonogh School was dedicated in 2014. The 72,000 square foot building serves as the campus’ student hub, and houses a 500-seat dining room, a dance studio, infirmary, 174-seat lecture hall with stage, and an art gallery. Flexible spaces throughout accommodate classes, meetings, lectures, grade-level gatherings, and special events.

McDonogh School is a coeducational day and boarding college preparatory school, serving 1,384 students from prekindergarten through 12th grade. Approximately 115 upper school students live on campus during the week as part of the school’s five-day boarding program.

“We do not take for granted the impact that the Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center has had on our physical plant with our faculty and students. We will be forever grateful.”

Brad Shelley, Director of Institutional Advancement, McDonogh School

“The Edward St. John Student Center has transformed our campus. It is a space that has enabled us to enhance our academic program and help us build even stronger relationships within our community. Ed St. John’s gift has had an amazing impact on McDonogh School.”
